The Beginning of Sin

Genesis 3:8 “During the cool part of the day, the Lord God was walking in the garden. The man and the woman heard him, and they hid among the trees in the garden. The Lord God called to the man and said, ‘Where are you?” (ERV).

Trusting that the Lord is our Savior, we can access Salvation and remove the seed or the beginning of Sin in our lives. Accepting our Lord Jesus Christ as the only road to Salvation and by faith, we believe in Him as the one God sent to us. God loves you and is ready to assist you in your personal journey toward Christian Discipleship.

Sin may be present, or we may be tempted in the early stages or beginning of a sin. However, our Lord and Savior can prevent all of our problems, if we have faith in Him and believe that He is our Salvation! Preventing our problems requires proper acknowledgement of our Jesus Christ as our Lord and following His instructions for God’s will on earth. As a true and faithful servant, invoke the Divine Presence of our Lord, identify sins (regardless of level), and seek His forgiveness and guidance. Allow our Lord’s wisdom to minister to your hearts. Allow Him to give you discernment on your purpose on earth and how to accept His Salvation to increase your faith and minimize sins. Accepting our Lord as Savior, we live by faith giving Him all the glory and the Honor.

Adam and Eve committed a sin in the Garden of Eden by disobeying our Lord. If sin is present or has been committed, we do not have to choose or continue in that way of life. We can redeem ourselves by upholding the Word of God and choosing Him. Our Lord is our Savior, Comforter, and Provider. By His grace alone we can persevere through trials and tribulations. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! With Jesus in our lives we can do anything!

God knows what we need before we even ask! How awesome is that! As humans, we may mask our personal issues, but our Heavenly Father sees us clearly. Through prayers and spending intimate time with Him, we can receive discernment and the knowledge needed to understand our purpose and role in life and how we can remove those sins that are not pleasant in our Lord’s sight.  We know ourselves but God, who created us, knows us best. We cannot hide or keep things from Him so we must be truthful in confessing to Him our sins. He already knows your sins but we should be honest in asking for His assistance to overcome evil. We cannot hide from God; our Creator hears all and sees all.

The Beginning of Sin of Man and Woman shows how temptations may occur but we must remember that our loyalty rests with God. We are all God’s children and EVERYONE may be lured into temptation. Seeking refuge in the Word of God we can find comfort in Him and escape sin. As children of God, we should analyze our situation and identify those weeds that need to be pulled from our Spiritual Garden. Seeking God’s face leads to righteousness as He is the Perfect Role Model to emulate. God has perfect plans for us and someone will try to ruin it to jeopardize our blessings. God gives us specific instructions. Others may try to overturn it and oppose God’s will. Reflect deep within and ask yourself, ‘who do I really listen to Almighty God or the lying devil?’ As Christians, we need to monitor our actions, behavior, and ensure serpents and temptations do not influence us to act opposite to our Lord’s will.

The Book of Genesis reveals that the woman (Eve) fell into temptation and did eat the fruit from the forbidden tree. This act was a sin against God. She also gave her husband (Adam) some fruit and he ate the fruit. When he did that he also sinned against God. After both man and woman sinned, they realized that they were naked and started hiding from God. The Scriptures clearly reveal that we cannot hide from God. It also shows the blame game. Others may not claim responsibility for their actions and engage in blaming others instead of admitting what they chose to do. God asked Adam and Eve how they gained the knowledge that they were naked and if they ate from the forbidden tree. A seemingly simple answer seems became quite complicated as Adam responded “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate” (Genesis 3:12, ESV). God punished all parties involved in the affair, even the tempter (the crafty snake).

God is above all! He is the author and the Creator. No one or nothing can outsmart Him. He punished SIN. God punished the snake. He cursed the snake to crawl on his belly. God punished Eve, the Mother of all Living, to multiply her pain in childbearing. God also punished man, cursing the ground because of his disobedience. God is also our Provider as He made garments for Adam and Eve prior to them leaving the garden. He is our Provider, Comforter, and despite our situation, He will take care of us if we ask, seek and knock.

Our Lord is merciful and blesses us at His will, when we have Faith and Believe. Seek Salvation. We do not have to engage or be enslaved to sinful activities. Seek God’s assistance and He will save and restore you. It is by His grace and mercy, that He sacrificed His Son for you. He did that for us…Our Heavenly Father! The Book of Isaiah 53:5 state “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (NLT). God sacrificed Jesus to save us.  His sacrifice brought us peace and healing on earth. Our Lord’s glorious grace and mercy provides an understanding of how He can prevent our problems and forgive our sins. Let us all thank God for His grace, compassion, and mercy as we continue to accomplish His will, and spread the Good News of the Gospel.

We all experience temptations in accomplishing God’s work. The grass may appear greener on the other side. Let us appreciate the beauty of our side of the fence and cultivate those Fruits of the Spirit that enhance the beauty of our garden. If we continue to keep the faith, and pursue God’s will, not man’s want, we know that we will remain victorious as our heavenly Father leads the way.

As the time and seasons go by, we should concentrate on what is important, keep God first, and pursue His will. Did you thank God yesterday or today? God loves you! As you embrace His instructions, remain grounded in the Word of God, and thank Him for any given situation as you patiently await His response as He leads the way. God can prevent our problems and bless us as we rebuke sinful nature! Do not forget to thank our Lord every single day. Give Thanksgiving to God daily! That should be main ingredient of our daily routine – Thanksgiving to God.
