Spirit Freedom

Spirit Freedom

AFCRadioShawn-160-241-03112013Good Day and God Bless Disciples and Ambassadors for Christ Jesus.

How often have we heard people say, “We are FREE in Christ Jesus,” and we may even have said it ourselves?

Many times we repeat things we hear and not truly understand what it means but because it sounds good, we jump on the ship and ride it. Let us all be diligent to find out what people are saying and why they are saying it; read the Holy Bible. Jesus informs us through His words that we will receive a spirit when we believe in Him and it is His spirit the Holy Spirit that will guide us, comfort us, and remind us of His words, but we have to read His words first; the Holy Bible.

John 14:26, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

Part of being a disciple of Christ Jesus is to spread the Gospel and not just to the people that come to church but to everyone, unto the ends of the Earth. The people in church have already heard the Good News, or should have, but other people cannot receive the Holy Spirit if they have never heard of Him.

Acts 19:1-2, “While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

If someone has never heard of the Holy Spirit, even within the church, then how can they be set free? The only way to be set free is by hearing the Word and then accepting the Word as truth and then by accepting Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior. Then and only then is our body ready to receive His spirit that He promises He will send to all believers.

Romans 10:14, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

Galatians 5:13, “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

Let us all continue to invite Christ to operate in our lives and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. Let us remember that our freedom is a gift and we received it to serve God and our neighbors not our flesh.

Jesus Loves You!!!
