His Sheep Know His Voice

John 10:1-3 New International Version (NIV)

10 “Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.”

When reading this passage and parable from Jesus to the Pharisees, you may first look at it and see that even a robber and thief can enter the Kingdom of God; however, after asking God for the discernment and revelation, you see that the pen is not the Kingdom. No one can enter the Kingdom of God that does not acknowledge our Father God, Jesus as their Lord and Savior, have The Holy Spirit operating in their life, and acknowledge that the three are One. The pen is the Earth, it is the church building, and wherever men and women of God gather.

A sinner can walk into the same physical places as a disciple of Christ, the pen, but if they do not repent for theirs sins and give their heart to God, even though they are with the sheep, they will not know the voice of the Shepard, Jesus. When God opens the gate to allow Jesus to gather His sheep, only those that know His voice will come. The sheep that do not know His voice will run to the back of the pen fearing for their lives. If the pen is the entire Earth, or just the physical building of the church, then only half of the sheep will know the voice of Jesus Christ according his parable in the Book of Matthew. Matthew 24:40-41, states, “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left” (NIV). Make sure you know His voice.
