Daily Thanksgiving Feast

Our Holy Bible states, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4, NIV).

What does an everlasting thanksgiving feast consist of? In my book published in 2011 titled ¿Uncertainties? And Reasoning, one description was “Mouth-watering stuffing, juicy turkey, and delicious macaroni and cheese stimulate brain cells” (page 1). Another depiction was “Sautéing and simmering His promises and indulging in the word of God takes one to higher places of fulfillment another person simply cannot provide. Absorbing seasoned promises, unearthing spiritual knowledge, and digesting Jehovah’s truth is a full course meal unequal to any other” (p.13).

Daily Purpose

As Ambassadors for Christ we are charged with spreading the good news of the gospel and saving souls. Giving God ALL the glory He deserves should be our top priority. As we enter His gates with Thanksgiving, we should rejoice in our circumstances because, according to the Holy Bible “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance” (James 1:2-3 NIV).

Our trials produce perseverance and in doing so, our character is strengthened in Jesus Christ. Fortifying our Christ-like mind and character that God blessed us with is a powerful resource we can control. Developing our attitude and behavior to conform with biblical principles, Christian discipleship processes, serving as Ambassadors for Christ, and becoming fishers of men to save souls is a daily process we endure because the outcome is all for the glory of God. Working for God and thanking Him for the blessings we receive is definitely worthy of praising Him as we exalt His name in high places.

Thanksgiving Time

We should thank God not only in good times but also during not so good times. We should thank Him always and in all that we do. Why? The Bible states “Rejoice always” (1 Thessalonians 5:16 NIV). “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (Colossians 3:17 NIV). Spiritually rejoicing with our Lord and digesting His sweet, fruitful promises enlightens our senses to receive discernment and satisfy ourselves with spiritual fullness. The Holy Bible stats “there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV).

Acknowledging the biblical verses, besides a man-made dinner, is even more important to maintain things in proper perspective and continue to engage in Thanksgiving to our Lord all the Time. During our daily endeavors, let us pause and take a minute of our day that God allows us to experience, and thank Him for His grace and mercy. Living under His grace is quite comforting and a blessing. Admiring the natural beauty that He so craftily designed brings a calming sense of peace and amazement as we wonder what He will continue to do for us. As our Provider, God has his plans for us. As His children, we should engage in eternal thanksgiving and praise His Name. Thanksgiving time is All the Time as God remains Great in all He does.
