Consolidation of Love – Part 3

Consolidation of Love – Part 3

Luke 7:44-47 “Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

God forgives our sins regardless of its magnitude. Despite the depth or amount of sin, if one enters forbidden behavior, a sin is a sin. Being incompetent human beings who could not afford to repay sin, God sacrificed His son, Jesus Christ to absolve our immoralities. As humble servants of God, we should remain in constant thanksgiving and listen to His word as He empowers us with His knowledge and wisdom. Acting selfishly or paying more attention to matters of the flesh than the word or will of God is sinning against Him. How can one idolize a materialistic object, take great care of it trying to keep it in perfect shape, yet not act the same toward an already perfect Lord? One who is willing to remove sins leaving you impeccable?

James 1:22 (NIV): “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
Our Heavenly Father, we thank you Lord for your many sacrifices and blessings bestowed upon us. We thank you for allowing us to delight in Your joy as You show us favor. We ask God that You continue to forgive our trespasses and cleanse our mind, heart, body, and soul from selfish, impure thoughts that bonds us in sin, restricting us to move forward in Your will. Please also provide us with the strength to forgive others who have intruded against us. We thank you for forgiving our sins and enlighten us with Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and courage to make wiser choices that are pleasing to You Father. We give you all the praise the power and the glory.

Amen, Amen, Amen!
