Are you Discipling For Jesus?

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20, ESV).

We see many people throughout our daily walk. We may wave at them, smile at them, say hello, goodbye, and even shrug at them, but are we Discipling them?

In order for one to Disciple another we must first be a Disciple ourselves. The followers of Jesus and His Apostles were Disciples made by Christ. Jesus then commanded them to go and make more Disciples, meaning us. We are then now to go and make even more Disciples of Christ Jesus.

If we are only waving and speaking to others from a distance, how can we spread the Good News of the Gospel and bring men to Jesus? If you are sitting on a bus, riding in a car pool, or at the water cooler, ask God to put something in your Spirit to say to that person. If we rely on our own minds and hearts, then we may fail, but if we rely on God to help us make Disciples of Jesus Christ, then we will be victorious. It takes the influence of the Holy Spirit to bring one to Christ.
