For the Love of God XXXIV :: Por el Amor de Dios XXXIV

“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17, NIV).

GLORY TO GOD!

What does GLORY TO GOD mean? Hearing and using that expression, I often wondered did I know what it means, and if not, why would I repeat something that I was unsure of? Many times we repeat or do something that is common to others. It is easier to fit into a crowd than to actually bring Glory to God. Maybe the crowd that we choose to fit into is worshipping idolatries of the world. We may act in the flesh to glorify ourselves or selfish desires. Psalm 115:1 states “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness” (NIV). Instead of displaying Glory to God and stand on His Word, we may settle and go with the flow. Jesus informs us “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:24, NIV).

Glory to God signifies acknowledging and professing the beauty and splendor of our God in all His majesty and demeanor. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1, NIV). As we bring Glory to God we acknowledge our incomparable Lord in heaven and we emulate His behavior while respecting our Lord’s creation. Understanding the greatness of His stature we worship Him for choosing us to call His children. As a faithful Father, God will fulfill His promises and reward His children in His time. As we rebel as God’s children, yet shout Glory to God, what god are we bringing glory to?

The story of the Birth of Jesus reveals in Luke 2:9 “An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them” (NIV). God is glory and the source of all things. “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made” (John 1:3, NIV). As we give Glory to God we do so by living Spiritually, speaking honestly, and operating from our obedient hearts. We must transform our minds (Romans 12:2), buy into the Truth, the Word of God, do not compromise it, and that truly solidifies the meaning as you reflect in your actions the Glory to God. The Word of God states “My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways” (Proverbs 23:26, NIV). As the New Year approaches, let us make a Spiritual effort to bring Glory to God by allowing Him to showcase His blessings to all.

Have a blessed New Year shouting and reflecting in your actions GLORY TO GOD!

¡GLORIA A DIOS!

¿Qué significa GLORIA A DIOS?

For the Love of God XXXIII :: Por el Amor de Dios XXXIII

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!“ (Isaiah 9:6-7, NLT).

Jesus Christ came to the world to enlighten and save us. Whoever believes in the Son of God will not live in the dark (John 12:46).  The Truth of the Word of God gives us the understanding and discernment to seek His face as we choose the decisions to glorify God. Our Lord wants us to live a fruitful life as Jesus states “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10, NIV). One of the many blessings of the birth of Jesus Christ is to “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10, NIV).  Since we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NIV).

As we celebrate the Holiday Season, remember that all Thanksgiving goes to the Lord. Be humble in demeanor and take care of the needs of the other Children of God by planting seeds. “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God” (2 Corinthians 9:11-12, NIV). As you enjoy the celebration of live, love, and hope the Lord provides, enter into the gates and glorify His Name! Take care of each other selflessly. Do not worry about what you will eat, drink, or wear. Our Father is our Provider. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33, NIV).

Jesus Christ did His job. He fulfilled the Scriptures until His death on the cross. Jesus was born, went through and overcame ALL temptations and served as a role model on how to overcome those things. When Jesus was nailed to the cross He said “It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost” (John 19:30, NIV). Thank God for His sacrifice! Have a blessed, holiday celebration praising and worshipping our Lord. Let us keep God first and foremost and accomplish our work in the Lord and be sure of this, Jesus is “with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20, NIV).

For the Love of God XXXII :: Por el Amor de Dios XXXII

The Lord is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love, forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion. But he does not excuse the guilty. He lays the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations” (Numbers 14:18, NLT).

As we imitate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we must allow the Holy Spirit to fill us with His love and character. As Christians, adjusting and overcoming our situations is only accomplished through Jesus Christ Who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Situations may be challenging and test our character. Acting in obedience, according to Numbers 14:18, you too should be “slow to anger and filled with unfailing love, forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion.” How do we forgive sin and rebellion? Do we turn it in to gossip or do we act like God and “forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more” (Hebrews 8:12). Or, do we use the sins of others as a scapegoat to justify and minimize our sins? Sin is sin and we cannot rate our sinful actions on a scale to justify or validate our actions. “All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death. We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them” (1 John 5:17-18, NIV).

As we choose to engage in sin, we must be aware that the Word of God states that God “does not excuse the guilty.”  The sins we are committing will affect our children and generations to come (Numbers 14:18). Our actions affect our generational outcome. Our sins transcend throughout the family and everyone will suffer because of our selfish, ignorant actions. How do we overcome the generational curse?  Stop doing wrong! We must stop committing sinful acts and truly accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior to become a new creation in Christ. Understand and “know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them(1 John 5:18, NIV).

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. The Word of God, the Holy Bible is our set of instructions to keep His Light alive. Do your part in holding the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God while worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth. Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts” (1 John 5:21, NLT).

Have a blessed week humbly wearing your Armor of God, protecting yourself from His enemies, and rescuing your generations to come.

For the Love of God XXXI :: Por el Amor de Dios XXXI

“Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God” (Hebrews 13:15-16, NLT).

Thanksgiving belongs to God. At times it may seem like more lip service is provided to our Lord than a heartfelt Thanksgiving based on His many sacrifices. We should Thank God for being our God! We should share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That means to spread the Word of God, and in a Christ-like manner, humble yourself while selflessly taking care of other’s first.

The Word of God reveals that the most important command is “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”(Mark 12:30-31, NIV).

Do we really love our neighbor? Are we willing to sacrifice ourselves for the Lord during trials and tribulations? Or, do we only want to be Christ-like and celebrate when things are going as we expect them to be? Jesus shared His life with us so that He could remove strongholds in our minds and bless us to understand what our Lord’s perfect, pleasing will is for our lives (Romans 12:2).

How can you improve your personal stand with God and share more of yourself with Him? How can we provide Thanksgiving in a Christ-like way? As God already knows your heart and intention, how can we seek His guidance in removing strongholds from our minds and hearts to provide Him with all the praises that only He deserves?

God shared His Son Jesus Christ with us. Jesus shared His Blood to cover us and reconcile us to His/Our Father. There is no greater sharing than that! Let us do our part in sharing the Word and helping God’s children remain covered under the Blood of Christ. “But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin(1 John 1:7, NLT).

The Christian Discipleship process is not an overnight process, it is a life-long journey. Continue to fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20 and share the precious Word of God. Do not judge others, be deceitful, hide, or not support the Word of God. “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back (Luke 6:38, NIV).

Have a blessed week pleasing our Lord by sharing God’s Word and His Resources with others.

¿Realmente amamos a nuestro prójimo?

Giving Thanks For His Refuge :: Full Armor of God

AFCRadioShawn-160-241-03112013Giving Thanks for His Refuge – Full Armor of God

Ephesians 6:1-3 : Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

Ephesians 6:10-13: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of  God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 6:14-17: Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of
salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:18-20: And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that
I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Childish versus Childlike

Matthew 18:3 : And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter The kingdom of heaven.

We must Trust God the same way we trust our parents. As little children, when our parents told us to do something, we did it without question because we trusted them. Now we must put that trust in Jesus. Our actions must be like those of children, we are children of God, and He is our Father.

Matthew 19:14 – Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

We cannot be a stumbling block to others. Those that are innocent and unpretentious do not care about the wealth and status of the world. The heart and mind of a child are pure until the evils of this world, that are ruled by the prince of darkness, infiltrates them. It is our job as parents to help protect our children from the darkness until they are old enough to accept Christ. God will protect His children but we must not just sit on the side lines and watch Him do His work. God has jobs for all of us. We must do our part in protecting God’s children.

1 Corinthians 13:11 – When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

It is time to put our childish ways behind us. We are now men and women of God. The things we used to do, we do them no more. It is time to put on God’s Full Armor and fight the evils of this world. We must stand our ground and out our trust in God just as we trusted our parents as children, we must Trust Jesus as Christians.

Ephesians 6:14-17 –

1. Belt of Truth – Eph 6:14a – Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist
2. Breastplate of Righteousness – Eph 6:14b – with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
3. Feet Fitted with Readiness – Eph 6:15 – and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
4. Shield of Faith – Eph 6:16 – In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
5. Helmet of Salvation – Eph 6:17a – Take the helmet of salvation
6. Sword of the Spirit – Eph 6:17b – and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

MatureKnight-93-106

As children when we read and hear stories about a knight we may picture ourselves as that knight in shining armor. As young Christians, we may do exactly the same thing when reading about God’s Armor.

ChildKnight-93-70

We may even picture ourselves when first reading Ephesians 6 putting on each piece of armor as we read. The problem comes in when we never stop thinking in childish ways. We must stop being immature Christians and start changing how we think. We must change how we act. Growing to Spiritual maturity is a must to fight the Spiritual warfare that is going on in the heavens and on earth. Let us not picture ourselves like a child dressed in physical armor like a knight.

Remove all of the old ways and put on the new ways, God’s Full Armor, Jesus Christ.

Transformation of the Mind

1 Corinthians 14:20 – Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.

Romans 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Ephesians 6:14-17 – Full Armor of God

As new Christians we receive the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God was sent by Jesus and the Father to dwell within us.

1 Corinthians 3:16 – Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? Ephesians 2:22 – And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. The Prophet Isaiah informs us that the seed of Jesse, the Messiah to come will have a belt and sash of righteousness and faithfulness. This belt for us is not a physical belt, it is a Spiritual Belt, it is Jesus Christ. We need to put on Jesus Christ around our waist. Take off the old, put on the new, you are reborn and a Child of God.

Belt of Truth

Eph 6:14a – Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist
Isaiah 11:5 – Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.

The second piece of God’s Armor is also about righteousness. The Prophet Isaiah this time is saying that Jesus put on the armor Himself. Since Jesus was unable to find anyone in the world that was righteous, He had to where His own righteousness, the righteous of God. But we, as born sinners do not have our own righteousness; we must put on God’s Armor. The righteousness we have is from Jesus and He is the only one that can protect our heart. Take off the old, put on the new, you are reborn and a Child of God.

Breastplate of Righteousness

Eph 6:14b – with the breastplate of righteousness in place.
Isaiah 59:17a – He put on righteousness as his breastplate.

The third piece of God’s Armor. This verse starts out with “and” which means it is also a required component. I know some of you may put on a pair of shoes or boots and they make your feet feel good, giving you piece to walk. This is not the type of piece being spoken. Looking at what the prophet Isaiah says once again, we read 52:7. He is talking about Christ again. Christ came down and spread the Good News and He also told us to spread the good news especially in Matthew 28:18-20 the Great Commission. Christ is our peace!!! It is only by the grace and mercy of God that we can have peace in our lives. That unspeakable joy that surpasses all understanding we read about in 1 Peter 1. Do not put physical coverings on your feet! Put Jesus on your feet by following His command to spread the Good News which is Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. Take off the old, put on the new, you are reborn and a Child of God.

Feet Fitted with Readiness

Eph 6:15 – and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
Isaiah 52:7 – How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who
bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Another required piece of Armor for our protection as indicated by the in addition starting the passage. The word Shield is transliterated into Greek as Thyreos that is derived from the word Thyra which means Door. The shields they used would protect you from head to toe. Not only that, they would wrap them in leather and soak them in water. Not only is the shield large now it has a heavy material over it plus more weight is added by adding water. The water soaked shield helped in the extinguishing of the flaming arrows. The Psalmist wrote about taking ups shield and armor in 53:2 so those hearing these words from Apostle Paul would know what he is speaking of. Someone carrying a shield could go and help others in trouble, maybe drag them back to safety while blocking in coming arrows. Our shield is Jesus Christ as we put our faith in Him daily. He is the one that extinguish the attacks from evil. He is the living water within us that guards our hearts and minds. Take off the old, put on the new, you are reborn and a Child of God.

Shield of Faith

Eph 6:16 – In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Psalm 53:2 – Take up shield and armor; arise and come to my aid.

Apostle Paul writes for us to take the helmet of salvation instead of putting on the helmet of salvation; however, we all know a helmet goes on the head as the Prophet Isaiah tells us that Christ wore the helmet of salvation on His head. We must keep our helmet on but it is not a physical helmet. Christ is our helmet, He is our salvation. Acts 4:12, Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. The gifts of God just keep coming. Christ is the head of the church and is our helmet. Take off the old, put on the new, you are reborn and a Child of God.

Helmet of Salvation

Eph 6:17a – Take the helmet of salvation
Isaiah 59:17b – the helmet of salvation on his head

There is that word “and” again. Apostle Paul tells us that the Sword and Helmet are also required pieces of God’s Armor. Even more so that the Helmet of faith and the Sword of the Spirit are together as well. Although the Sword is probably seen more as the offensive piece of the Armor, it actually protects as well. The prophet Isaiah says God made his mouth sharp like a sword. The mouth speaks words and the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. When the devil tempted Jesus for 40 days and nights in the wilderness, Jesus used the Word of God to keep Satan behind Him. He used the Word of God to fight all temptations successfully. At that point Jesus only had the words from the Old Testament to use against the devil. It was successful because Jesus Christ is the Word, the Logos, and we must know His word from Genesis to Revelations to fight the schemes of the evil in this world. Put Jesus Christ in our minds, He is the Full Armor of God.

Sword of the Spirit

Eph 6::17b – and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Isaiah 49:2 – He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me.

The Word of God

Eph 6:17c – which is the word of God
John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Spiritual Battle not a Physical Battle

1 Corinthians 15:39 – Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another.

1 Corinthians 15:40 – There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 6:18-20 – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Praying and Studying God’s Word is Key to gaining maturity. Although we have removed all of the physical armor, we have put on Jesus Christ, God’s Armor, and are fully clothed. The battle taking place is not of this world. It is not a physical battle, it is a spiritual battle. Let us pray for each other as we pray for ourselves but more so for others. I will pray for you and you pray for me. I will pray for your family and you pray for mine. We will all pray for our Pastoral family because I know they pray for each of ours. The fight we are in is not ours alone. We are all called by God to service in the kingdom and even though He has given us different kinds of gifts, praying in something we must all do. Something truly important here in this passage is that Apostle Paul says pray in the Spirit. This lets us further understand that it is a spiritual battle we are in. We can pray for many things in our flesh. I want more money, I need a new car, let my numbers come out on the lottery. Bring back my novella show. Send me a beautiful wife. Send me a faithful husband. Apostle Paul does not say to pray for these things. He is asking us to pray to allow the mysteries of Word of God be known and spread throughout all nations. As we learn Gods Word, it strengthens us, it edifies us, and it blesses God. His Word protects us, makes us righteous, faithful, ready, peaceful, covers us with salvation, and gives us the words to speak.

Take off the old, put on the new, you are reborn and a Child of God.

For the Love of God XXX :: Por el Amor de Dios XXX

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones” (Proverbs 17:22, NIV).

Finding the light-heartedness, learned experiences, and joy in a situation reflect the character of a humble spirit. Finding fault, reasons to complain, and justifying the error of our ways due to faulty teachings and beliefs reflect the character of an arrogant spirit. Jesus Christ died for you and does not owe you or me a thing. He paid the price for our Salvation. “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8, NIV).

Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior secures our Salvation. Why not be joyful? Why still worship the idolatries and ignorance of the world versus focusing on God’s blessings? Our Lord knows your heart. Which way is your heart leaning to? As we conduct an honest reality check, we have the will and the Word of God to guide us in His wisdom. As we highlight our flaws and insecurities, do not cover it up by blaming others or finding excuses. Our Lord knows that we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, NIV). However, He loved you and I so much that He sacrificed Jesus! “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NIV). It is ALL about God.

The Word of God informs us to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings” (1 Corinthians 7:23, NIV). Loved ones cannot secure your salvation. Jesus already paid the price. Seek God’s wisdom, His Spirit of discernment, and let us make righteous choices and decisions to glorify our Father in Heaven. Secure your future by accepting Him, and increasing your Spiritual journey with God as you personally walk in obedience to His Word. As God’s chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession (1 Peter 2:9, NIV) defend our Lord’s Honor, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1:22, NIV).

Have a blessed week standing up for God, the way Jesus stood up for you.

For the Love of God XXIX :: Por el Amor de Dios XXIX

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:3-5, NIV).

Christian discipleship process begins at home. What are we teaching our family? As Jesus humbly walked the earth, His purpose was to fulfill our Father’s will in Heaven. As the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus tells us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  But, what are we really doing? Do we take the chance and the opportunity to tell others about God’s needs, or are we sharing our personal wants and desires? Whose fruit are we bearing, the fruit of the Spirit, or common fruit? “By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? (Matthew 7:16, NIV).

True, eternal blessings await you in heaven. God wants our obedience and as His children we should serve Him only. Ensure you and your household are serving the Lord. As you accomplish His processes, just know that our Lord’s grace is sufficient for thee. The Word of God promises that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Remove evil thinking and selfish wants from your list of things to do. As an Ambassador for Christ, stand guard for the Lord!

During this season and every season, keep God first. Please know that you have a direct link to Him. Allow Him to minister to you by connecting your heart to Him. Be the voice or the spokesperson by aligning your actions to the Good News of the Gospel and spread the Word of God. During challenges, thank God for His insight, wisdom, and character builders as you stand, walk, and run with His Word. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17, ESV).

Be still and know that our Lord is God and you are His instrument to seek fishers of men to gain souls for His Kingdom. Listen to God minister to you as you accomplish His will. Walk with our Lord. Jesus said “I am with you always, even to the end of age” (Matthew 28:20, NIV).

Have a blessed week walking with God in His Truth, His Light, and keep securing your place with Him!

For the Love of God XXVIII :: Por el Amor de Dios XXVIII

2 Corinthians 6:2 “For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” (NLT).
Salvation is now. As we fulfill our daily activities, we keep God first and ensure His will is done. As we peel off the layers of flesh and truly accept God, not only be expressing our love but by acting accordingly, God sees your faithfulness. Our Lord measures our hearts by our actions and reactions. It does not matter what you have done. Accept Jesus Christ as salvation is now and it matters what you are doing. Wasn’t Abraham considered righteous and a friend of God for offering his son Isaac on the altar? Wasn’t Rahab, the prostitute considered righteous for lodging the spies? “You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone” (James 2:24, NIV).  As good and faithful servants of our God Almighty, it is more than professing our faith with words. We must live by those words and allow His light to shine bright as you accomplish His will. Get God’s wisdom and understanding in His word. Simply ask God what is it that He would like you to do and be obedient. Do not turn to the right or left and focus on others or distractors. Align your heart to God’s will. Activate the Holy Spirit in you and awaken it from its dormant state. “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead” (James 2:26, NIV).
God, thank you for all  you have done. We pray that you bless and protect our minds and actions as you continue to mold us into your image. Thank you for your love and patience as we seek your face. We pray that you minister to our hearts and remind your children of the sacrifice of your unconditional love. We will forever be indebted to you and we humbly thank you for being our God.

Have a blessed week connecting with God and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you in making God-filled choices to glorify His Name
